1. Tell us what you are doing. What is your idea? What is the thing you are learning?
In the past I have only created single 3D objects with simple flat backgrounds/environments only using Maya.
With Cinema 4D I want to learn how to create a more complex environment by modelling multiple background objects to create a sense of depth and space.
2. Show examples of your own work so far and work form others to explain your topic – movies, animations, renders, sculpts, models, film scenes, websites, interfaces, interactive things .. whatever you need.
3. Give us a clear description if how you intend to showcase your learning at the end of this paper. What will you build? How will it relate to your major project?
I want to have a flyover of an environment with subtle animated objects in the background to help create interest and movement.
I plan to roughly base my environments from my recent trip to Oahu with 3 main activities I experienced from the island;
1. paddle boarding (beach)
The technique I learn from this project will be helpful for my major project because I'm planning on doing a animated story using Cinema 4D.
4. A timeline documenting what you are planning on doing for the remainder of the project?
I plan to roughly base my environments from my recent trip to Oahu with 3 main activities I experienced from the island;
1. paddle boarding (beach)
2. cliff jumping (forest/waterfall)
3. swimming with turtles (underwater)
4. A timeline documenting what you are planning on doing for the remainder of the project?
research 3d model styles
design a environment to 3d model
watch Lynda, digital tutor and youtube tutorials
start 3d modeling
place models in a environment
research way to bring the environment to life (animation)
add characters
add animation
